Sex and existentialism in a shoot by An Le

Love, sex, and existential philosophy underpin the book The Unbearable Lightness of Being; and seemingly, An Le’s photoshoot of the same name as well. The photo series features incredible angles, juxtapositions of human body and nature – like the veins on a neck and the roots of a tree – and sensual presentations of the naked form, both male and female. Matt Bidgoli’s styling features just enough clothing to compliment the depth of the shoot without drawing away from it; and in each shot, muses Anni Jurgenson and Aurelien Muller are more artworks – emotive canvases for Le’s work – than mere models.
